I love to eat and I love to cook, but I insist on using only the freshest and most natural ingredients possible. I buy whole, natural foods and use those items in creative recipes to feed my family. I don’t spend a lot on fancy ingredients, instead I rely on the fresh natural flavors of my ingredients to make delicious meals.
My Italian grandmother told me to buy the best quality ingredients you can afford for each dish. For me this means that I buy organic dairy products, humanely raised, pastured meats, wild caught seafood and organic produce when I can afford them and conventional products when my budget is tighter.
My recipes reflect my belief in the old saying “you are what you eat”, so I do not include products that have chemicals or preservatives because if you are what you eat, then eat the best food available!
